Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor submitted to another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • If the authors have used the work and/or words of others, the authors must ensure that the work and/or words of others are appropriately cited or quoted and identify all sources used in the creation of their manuscripts.
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
  • Contact details (email & cell phone number) of corresponding author has been provided separately in article and updated in submission metadata.
  • The submitted article must contain sections for author contribution, data availability, and funding sources (if any). Please check "http://journal.iba-suk.edu.pk:8089/SIBAJournals/index.php/sjet/BestPractices" for more information.

Author Guidelines

Extended Version Submission Guidelines

The following guideline has been developed for submission of article extended version and compliance shall be made by authors for further consideration of extended version submission.

[1]. You are advised to use the feedback provided by reviewers for the conference version of article, revise, and rewrite the article, as appropriate, to improve the paper’s overall quality to be considered for journal publication
[2]. The submitted article extended version will be processed through the rigorous double-blind peer-review process with the same standard as for regular submissions
[3]. The Similarity Index of extended article should not be more than 30% including the already published source (Conference Proceedings available at IEEE Explorer)
[4]. The extended article should contain about 30% new content compared to the published conference version
[5]. Title of extended version submission should not be the same as published in conference proceedings
[6]. The abstract must be rewritten and revised and should not be the same as published in conference proceedings
[7]. The Conclusion must be rewritten and revised and should not be the same as published in conference proceedings
[8]. Include a statement in Acknowledgment section of document, e.g., "An earlier version of this paper was presented at the International Conference on Computing, Mathematics and Engineering Technologies (iCoMET 2018) and was published in its Proceedings available at IEEE Explorer." and include a web-link/doi to the already published paper available at IEEE Explorer
[9]. Add new material to your paper including introduction, literature review, results, discussion and conclusion
[10]. The extended version must highlight the new sections, figures, tables, results, discussion etc.
[11]. Provide a copy of the original conference paper published in proceedings (upload an additional PDF file during the submission process)
[12]. It is the editors’ decision on whether or not the extended version of submission considered to be sufficient for publication after the review process
[13]. The authors must also ensure that already extended version of article has not been submitted or published in any other journal in the cover letter to editor and must sign consent to publish & copyright agreement form
[14]. The extended version of article should be submitted through the SJET online submission system section extended version
