The renewable source of energy is important in today’s world because soon in future the non- renewable energy sources that are consumed by us are going to be exhausted. Adding to this the fossil fuels are not environmentally friendly and are also costlier whereas renewable sources are pollution free sources of energy and are available in unlimited quantity, especially in electricity generation. The abstract of this project is to design a hybrid system which harnesses electricity from renewable source that is sun using photo-voltaic solar panels as long as the Sun is available to charge batteries and operate load and when it is not available say for example at night or in cloudy weather or in rain the charging of batteries is switched from sun to other alternative source such as UPS (Uninterrupted Power Supply) or through AC source.AC source of 220V in the project is given through WAPDA source. The abstract of this project to utilize as much of renewable source to less consume the non-renewable energy sources such as fossil fuels.
